Levi Branch Library is located on South Third Street, just south of Mitchell Road.

Computers
Computers for browsing the Internet (including email), accessing information online, or for use
with word processing etc. are available for public use. See the Internet Use Policy
and the Computer
Assistance Policy for more information.
Levi presently has six computers and one homework computer, each equipped with Internet
access and Microsoft Word. The software also features several research
databases: Encarta Encyclopedia, Encarta Africana 2000 and Encarta Interactive. Additionally there are 2 electric typewriters for public use.
There is a one hour maximum time limit for use of
the computers and a 2 hour limit for typewriters.

Programs
Levi has preschool storytime each second Wednesday of the month from 10:00
to 10:30 a.m. After school program times vary. Check the library
monthly calendar InfoDATES
for youth program times and for a listing of adult programs being
offered at the branch.

Meeting Room
Levi Branch has a meeting room (seats 30) available for public use on a first come first
served basis. Interested parties may visit the branch to sign up for use of the
room. After that they may call to reserve it for specified dates and times.
Use is free to all nonprofit groups and organizations who's meetings are
open to the public.

Collection
In addition to a wide variety of historical and current information about
African Americans, the Levi branch has an extensive African American
Fiction collection featuring works by classic and contemporary authors.
The Levi Branch has a variety of popular magazines, audio books, music CDs and
cassettes. The branch also carries the latest entertainment videos. All of these
items are available for check out.

Items for Sale at Check-Out Desk
The Check-Out Desk at each library has a handy "store" of
useful
items for sale. The branch also has an on-going book and magazine
sale.
