Author Renford is coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.James Renford Powell is author of the Renford Books, 13 of which are in print. He is the founder of the Institute of Applied Metaphysics, Director of IAMPress, creator of Lightways, (E-Zine) and Director of the RBR Network (radio by Renford at www.blogtalkradio.com/renford), which includes 10 shows. He also hosts the "Laws of Material Wealth Personal Development Program," "Core Concepts" on the Renford Broadcast Network, and the "Book Man Show" that airs weekly on the Comcast Cable Network.

Author Myrtle Russell is coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.Myrtle Russell has worked in the health industry for 30 years in a variety of roles, ranging from nurse, educator, and public health administrator to life coach and writer. She currently serves as interim director for West Tennessee Area Health Education Center, Incorporated, and health editor for the West Tennessee Examiner.

Russell said she spends the remainder of her time writing and coaching. She co-authored Small Change: A 28-day Guide to Eating, Thinking, and Feeling Healthier. Russell just released her second book, Free Your Mind and the Best Will Follow, a guide to help readers from all walks of life to overcome obstacles and start living their dreams. Russell will promote her second book at Bookstock 2013 on Saturday, October 5 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library.

Authors Darlene Hooker Sawyer and Dr. Jane Hooker are coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.Darlene Hooker Sawyer is a lifelong resident of Cordova, Tennessee. She is a descendant of the Hooker family from Virginia, which settled in the area in 1836.

Sawyer attended the Cordova School that now houses the Cordova Museum, of which she is the curator and executive director.

In tandem with her relative Dr. Jane Hooker, the two authored Images of America: Cordova, a printed chronicle of historical pioneers and events that helped to shape Cordova.

Dr. Jane Howles Hooker is an associate professor emeritus at the University of Memphis, where she served 40 years in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Her English-American heritage and her marriage into the Hooker family sparked her interest in the history and genealogy of the area. Together with Darlene Hooker Sawyer, she wrote Images of America: Cordova, a printed chronicle of historical pioneers and events that helped to shape Cordova.
