Bookstock 2013 Authors - Jones to Lamparter-Mabry

Author Reginald "Reggie" Jones is coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.Reginald "Reggie" Jones is a former professional football player in the National Football League. He played for the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns. He is an author and national motivational speaker. Jones has been offering keynote and team-building presentations for more than 12 years. His presentations are known to articulate his optimistic belief that the glass is always half full.

Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Memphis. He also coaches organizations and individuals to help them achieve their total potential by presenting practical and achievable solutions. He played as a starter in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints as a defensive cornerback.

Jones is author of the book Stilettos on Gridiron, a self-help book designed to help women who would like to understand American football or understand the game better. He will promote his book at Bookstock 2013 on Saturday, October 5 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library.

Author Dee Julian is coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.Dee Julian writes sweet historical romance and is currently working on her third novel, Beyond the Shadow of Canderlay Manor. This novel, which ties to her previous two novels, will be available in late October 2013.

Julian lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband, two children, and several quirky dogs. She said this suits her just fine because she’s a bit "quirky" herself.

A typical Virgo, Julian and her husband enjoy summer weekends, cruising the Tennessee River on their deck boat.

Her favorite quote is “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."

Julian will attend Bookstock 2013 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library to promote her book Promise Me, the story of a woman who makes a difficult promise to her dying fiancé and the aftermath that comes with trying to honor it.

Author Toni Lamparter-Mabry is coming to Central Library on Saturday, October 5 for Bookstock 2013.Toni Lamparter-Mabry has written more than a dozen articles that have appeared in inspirational magazines, newspapers, and online publications.

She studied English and journalism at Union University, where she received the Helen Blythe Creative Writing Award. She also earned a degree in elementary education from Crichton College and presently works for the Shelby County Unified School System.

Lamparter-Mabry will attend Bookstock 2013 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library to promote her book A New Season: Friends of Scrapbook, Etc – Book One. It is the story of protagonist Wendy whose life is an uphill climb that’s suddenly interrupted by a mysterious motorcycle cop named Jerrod Hill. This book is the first of three novels in the Friends of Scrapbook, Etc. series.
