The Business, Sciences and Technology Department of the Central Library also houses many print legal sources. Many standard sources, such as the United States Code, Tennessee Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Register, and United States Reports are found in the department. There are also many self-help legal sources intended for the lay person available. Please call (901) 415-2734 for information on the legal collections available in the department.
The Law Library at the University of Memphis contains an extensive collection of legal resources and is open to the public. The Law Library’s resources may help with advanced legal questions and research.
Tennessee Code Online
Print copies of Tennessee Code Annotated are located in the Business/Sciences department in the Central library and the Bartlett, Cherokee, Cordova, East Shelby, Frayser, Hollywood, Parkway Village, Poplar-White Station, Raleigh, Randolph, South, and Whitehaven branches of the Library.
Memphis Code of Ordinances & Memphis Charter
Print copies of the Code of Ordinances are found in the Business/Sciences department on the third floor in the Central library as well as in the Bartlett branch.
Shelby County Code Online
Codes organized by state; Shelby County Code included under Tennessee. Print copies of the Code of Ordinances are found in the Business/Sciences department on the third floor in the Central library as well as in the Bartlett branch.
