Comickers’ Club for Kids at East Shelby Library!

Love comics? Like to draw? Got a story gnawing away at your brain? Then, the Comickers’ Club at East Shelby Library (7200 E. Shelby Dr.) is for you!

The Comickers’ Club will meet every Saturday, 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., starting February 3, 2018, to learn all about how to write and draw comics. Also, club members will participate in special projects and talk about their favorite comics, manga and graphic novels.

But, that’s not all! Throughout the eight-week course, Children’s Librarian and comicker Paisley Gray will guide club members through the production of their first full comic – from concept to completion.

To cap it all off, our very special guest, Mr. Kazu Kibuishi (author and illustrator of the smash success Amulet graphic novel series) will visit the library Saturday, March 24 to meet with participants, review their hard work, and tell them all about making comics for a living!

Children ages 9-14 are welcomed to come. Art and writing supplies are provided.
