as employees, finance, government contracts and much, much more. By accessing information by region, users find state specific
information (Tennessee) that "links to information,
organizations, services, tools and transactions" on a variety of subjects of interest to the small business owner.

There is allot of practical information, such as how to deal with financial matters and how to manage employees. A very practical,
user-friendly site.
- EEOC - U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
This website provides information and guidance regarding the law governing the various types of discrimination. In addition,
it provides information specifically for employers and small business owners. A link to the Americans with Disabilities Act
can be found at this website. It also offers the publication The Americans
with Disabilities Act: A Primer for Small Business.
- Mid-South Quality Productivity Center ("MSQPC")
MSQPC provides "innovative consulting, training and public workshops in ISO 9000" and "Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
Assessments." Economic growth and "helping Memphis and Mid-South organizations compete in the global market place" are MSQPC
goals.

- Small Business Development Center National Information Clearinghouse
This center acts as a clearinghouse for other Small Business Development Centers. Under "Getting Started" there are links
to World Wide Web resources of particular interest to small business owners as well as information on state and local regulations.

Administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, this site gives access to information that includes hot topics of
general interest to small business entrepreneurs -- from international business to finding grant sources for your business.
This site includes information on SBIR Contracts/ Grants, Grants & Assistance for Minorities, Today's Commerce Business Daily
and Business Statistics.
- SBA Forms
The Small Business Administration has provided access to types of forms that may be needed in a business, including personal
finance statement and loan applications. Many of these forms can be filled out online. There is a link to the IRS site where
forms may be obtained for many purposes including Form SS-4, Application for Employer ID Number.
- SCORE - Service Corps of Retired Executives
SCORE is the national, nonprofit association which has 10,500 volunteers and 389 chapters nationwide dedicated to helping
anyone interested in starting a new business. Its official home page will allow you to locate your local chapter of SCORE,
offers information about workshops and counseling, and contains many links to web sites which contain business information
and tools helpful to entrepreneurs. A treasury of information and resources for the potential business owner is found on this
site.

Memphis Chapter 68 is the locally-chartered volunteer association and resource partner of the Small Business Administration.
SCORE Memphis offers free and confidential counseling to start up businesses and existing small businesses that seek advice.
