| Purpose: | To encourage economic development by stimulating job-producing activities. The Center specializes in economic and community development projects. |
| Eligibility: | Both public and private sector; both start-ups and existing businesses; businesses must be located within the 47-county area of West and Middle Tennessee (west of Nashville). |
| Fees: | The Center must charge a break-even fee. The cost varies depending on the complexity of the project. |
| Services: |
- Small Business Assistance in areas such as product design and development; business management counseling; feasibility studies; loan packaging for loans and loan guarantees by EDA, SBA, FmHA, and SBIC; entrepreneurial counseling; identification of firms with export trade potential; foreign market development assistance.
- Technical Assistance for community and economic development: industrial development strategies; identification and selection of industrial development sites; development of social, economic, and business data banks. Feasibility studies.
- Library of Planning Materials open to the public by appointment.
