Where is the Book (or CD, DVD, etc.)?

 

Finding the location of an item is usually the first thing many people want to know.  On the initial search results page, you will see a list of locations that currently have an available copy.  You can either call the location or place the item on hold online.

But what if you are inside the library  and you need to know exactly where it is?  If you click on the title of the book, you will see a detailed listing of item locations.  You will see a  Library drop-down menu  that allows you to limit this list to a specific library (which can be helpful with records with many items).  You will also see a  Call Number  and a  Location .  The  Call Number  is not too helpful with Fiction items, but is very helpful with Non-Fiction.  The  Location  you see in the example below is Fiction .  Once you are in the Fiction section, items are arranged by author's last name.
