Local Resources for Nonprofits

WHEREweLIVEmidsouth.org, your Community Indicators Dashboard, is a free, go-to source for studies and information on the status of our community, down to the neighborhood level.

WHEREtoGIVEmidsouth.org, a Community Nonprofit Database, is a free, user-friendly online tool that helps:

  • Donors make more informed decisions about philanthropy.
  • Nonprofits showcase their accomplishments, demonstrate transparency, and share funding requests.
  • The Community better understand the needs and assets unique to the Mid-South.

Local Nonprofits: To create your own profile and be included in this community database, you must first register for a login through the Build a Profile page of WHEREtoGIVEmidsouth.org.

NPAlliance    The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence provides training and technical assistance to help local nonprofit organizations secure national grants.

Over the years, the Alliance has conducted extensive research and compiled local reports detailing the nonprofit sector in Memphis and the Mid-South.  These reports include the Statewide TN Nonprofit Compensation Report and Inside the Mid-South Nonprofit Sector, a report examining the economic and social impact of our local nonprofit sector.  To view the most recent reports as well as those from previous years, please visit the Research section of the Alliance’s website.

logo211  LINC/2-1-1 Community Information Database is maintained by the Memphis Public Library and Information Center and provides information about 1500 social service agencies and programs and 800 clubs and organizations in the greater Memphis area.
