Greater Memphis Financial Empowerment Center
The GMFEC offers free, one-on-one professional financial counseling to all Shelby County residents regardless of income. Certified financial counselors are available for customized guidance and can help residents deal with personal financial issues such as budgeting, saving, debt reduction, and credit improvement.

Money Essentials
This site, presented by CNN, offers easy-to-understand lessons for “gaining control of your financial life.” Topics covered include: budgeting, investing, insurance, 401(k)s and taxes. 

MoneyWise Publications
Consumer Action’s MoneyWi$e educational materials are available on their Managing Money Project website. Here you may view, download and order bulk copies of the MoneyWi$e materials. Publications on a number of topics are available in several languages. Examples include: Saving to Build Wealth, Building and Keeping Good Credit, and You Can Bank On It: Banking Basics.
