Memphis Reads- DARK IN DEATH by J.D. Robb

DARK IN DEATH by J.D. Robb  (St. Martin’s Press, 2018)- Reviewed by Hollye F.

Dark in Death is the latest installment in the Eve Dallas series.  I have to admit that this was not my favorite in the series, but I love it when Eve has to interact with her friends. This makes her very uncomfortable. But, unfortunately, this did not happen much in this particular book.

Dark in Death is about a disturbed woman who acts out the murders in her favorite author’s books.  She has picked out her victims well ahead of time which makes the case harder to investigate than most.  In perfect Eve fashion, she destroys words and phrases which always make me laugh.  Even my least favorite J.D. Robb books are still good so I can read them in a day.  I always devour her books and would recommend the series to anyone who likes a good mystery, and this series just happens to be set in the future. (An added bonus!)
