Students in today’s classrooms will practice for tomorrow’s boardrooms at Memphis Public Libraries’ new PowerPoint for Kids Class, offered to students ages 8 – 12 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave., Computer Lab L-50)
Each Thursday in June – starting June 8, 2017, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – kids will learn the skills needed to create a professional PowerPoint presentation for school, along with valuable tips on how to present their final products. Each student will choose a topic and, by the end of the course, they will create a five to seven-minute presentation to showcase on the final day of class.
Students who have completed the Library’s pre-requisite Computer Basics for Kids Class will receive first admission to the PowerPoint for Kids Class. However, new students are welcomed to apply.
For more information about the Library’s new PowerPoint for Kids Class or to apply, call (901) 415-2739.
