Register TODAY for Teen Arts Fest 2018!

Are you a talented teen who wants to earn some cash? Memphis Public Libraries and the Friends of the Library want YOU to participate in TEEN ARTS FEST 2018 on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave.) Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, photographer or designer, teens ages 13 – 18 are invited to display and sell their artwork to Library customers.

“We want to prepare our youth for the world in which they live,” explained Teen Services Coordinator Tamika Richardson. “Teen Arts Fest is designed to encourage teens across the city to showcase their artistic talents, while learning about the world of entrepreneurship. It is our goal to ensure that teens receive this opportunity to showcase their talents, learn to price and sale their pieces, and enhance their paths to college and careers.”

To participate, teens are required to attend one of the following orientations.

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. @ Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave.)

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. @ Frayser Library (3712 Argonne St.)
