More Details

At Memphis Public Libraries, we want our youth to be fully engaged in the decision-making that will impact them most; and to allow youth to transform the library into the space they need to meet the current needs of youth in their community. Youth and librarians will work together to plan, frame, and implement programs, events, and services at their local library. These youth council meetings will be held virtually from 4-5:30 pm on Thursdays for (8) weeks, beginning with interviews on October 3, 2022. A few branch youth councils will have the option to hold socially-distanced meetings in person.
