Art Contest
Contest Details
Submissions are now open for Memphis Public Libraries Comic Con Art Contest. If accepted, your comic-themed art will hang in the Benjamin L. Hooks’ Goodwyn Art Gallery for the month of May, and will be entered into the art contest. Winners of the art contest will be announced at Memphis Public Libraries Comic Con, which takes place on Saturday, May 31 from 10-3. There will be gift card prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, which have been graciously donated by the Art Center.
Notifications on acceptance will be sent 1-2 days after submission. The art will be hung up on April 30th, so all accepted works must be brought to the Humanities Department by the 29th. We encourage artists to bring their works as soon as they receive their acceptance notification email. Be sure to check your email frequently after submission, as this is the way we will be contacting you about acceptance. Those accepted into the exhibition will receive further instructions on the drop off and pickup procedures leading up to the exhibit.
Come join us for a fun day celebrating the Memphis Comics and Arts community!
