GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for effectively planning, developing, implementing, overseeing safety and security programs for the Center. Sets and maintains professional and ethical standards among department personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A high school diploma is required. An Associate’s Degree is preferred.
Experience: Three years of security experience is required, one of which must be in a supervisory capacity. At least one year in a residential living setting and background in youth service programs or law enforcement is preferred. Safety related training is preferred.
Days/Hours: 40 hours per week. 5 days a week.
Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the Center to include supervision over security officers and substitutes during the shift.
Ensures the enforcement of all laws, rules, and policies within his/her scope of authority.
Foot patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violations, suspicious and/or persons and other unusual conditions.
Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff in every way possible.
Performs building security and safety checks.
Receives complaints and performs appropriate investigations.
Provides transportation service as directed.
Investigates vehicle accidents at the Center.
Performs main entrance duty.
Assists in quelling disturbances.
A valid Driver’s License is required.
