WMC, Action News 5 in Memphis, TN seeks a dynamic show host for Bluff City Life, a locally produced daytime lifestyle and entertainment show. The qualified candidate will be a gifted communicator and interviewer with the ability to quickly think on their feet. The host must immerse themselves in the local community and showcase what makes Memphis, Memphis.


The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

– Host a daily hour-long broadcast on WMC, Action News Five– Work closely with show runners on the daily production of Bluff City Life
- Help show runners develop guest relationships and assist in Bluff City Life bookings
- Work in the field on pre-production and show packages that will air on Bluff City Life and its digital platforms
- Write content for Bluff City Life and digital platforms– Work with show runners to prepare long form interviews with entertainers, celebrities, authors, local officials, among others– Make public appearances in support of Bluff City Life and WMC, Action News 5


– Previous entertainment or lifestyle show experience
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills– Ability to multi-task in high stress situations– Strong organizational skills– Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to schedule changes– High-level understanding of journalistic ethics– Drug screen and MVR check required.
