IT Support Specialist Summary:

The IT Support Specialist role is a key member of the IT Department charged with coordinating, communicating and resolving technical issues with colleagues throughout the company. Through troubleshooting, technical support and other communications, they must stay engaged with the whole company’s hardware, software and all IT’s assests The IT Support Specialist role requires organization, goal orientated and able to work with minimal supervision or supplied information.

 IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Walk colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems via phone, in-person or remote access.
  • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization including analyzing records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues.
  • Support the implementation of new solutions or applications and install, update and configure end-user networking accessories while ensuring stability and monitoring regularly
  • Troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet systems

IT Support Specialist Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 0- 2 years’ experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of education (3+ years).
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • In depth knowledge of Windows, Mitel, Teams, Mac OS, Microsoft Office 365, Meraki.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
