GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure the timely reception and warm welcome of new Job Corps student arrivals by providing a well-rounded and highly structured program. Prepare each student for successful participation in the Career
Development Services Systems by providing an introduction to Job Corps Center Staff and the roles they
play in student’s long-term outcomes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor Degree with a concentration in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Vocational Counseling in
a related field with three years of teaching or Vocational Counseling experience. 1 year of Job Corps or
related experience working with disadvantaged youth is preferred. OR an Associate Degree or equivalent
with a concentration in a related field of Counseling, Psychology, Social Work and 7 years of demonstrated
vocational counseling experience. 3 years of experience in an employment and training program which
service disadvantage youths.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; Effective organization skills;
• Effective interpersonal skills.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: A valid Regular Driver License is required.
