Job Title: Supervisor, Building Services and Grounds
Train, direct and supervise contracted/MLGW employees engaged in general custodial and grounds maintenance activities at all MLGW properties and buildings; and oversee services associated with maintaining buildings and properties.

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).  Must have 2-4 years general custodial, grounds/property leadership experience.  Must successfully complete Supervisor Assessment Center.  Must have a valid Chemical Applicator’s Certification.  Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in office majority of time. Subject to travel to job sites for inspections and hazardous working conditions.

JOB TITLE: CORROSION CONTROL SURVEYOR
Perform voltage surveys to monitor the level of cathodic protection applied to gas mains and services; investigate and troubleshoot faults for gas service lines.

Drug screening, with negative test results, is required prior to entry into this classification.  Must have knowledge/skills in electrical and electronic testing and repair.  Must successfully complete Color Blind 1 Test.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 002 “Electricians”)/Performance Exercises.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works outside majority of time.  Subject to working in proximity of traffic, construction work, pipes under pressure, electrical low voltage cables, standing/walking for extended periods, climbing ladders and medium lifting.

Under close supervision, apply entry-level established engineering principles in the design of electric, gas and water facilities for residential and commercial customers which include relocations, installations and removals; within specific guidelines, provide engineering and technical assistance to design personnel, customers, architects and various external entities; assist in computer-aided design/drafting as required; and may occasionally assist District Engineer 3 in reviewing design work of staff for training purposes.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.  Must have knowledge of and ability to apply entry-level principles of engineering.  Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Works inside and outside under good conditions.  Subject to construction hazards and   conditions while making field inspections.

Job Title: Electronics Communications Technician
Install, maintain, test and repair the Division’s two-way radio communication system, color video recording equipment and other diversified electronic equipment; locate electronic interference.  Operate infrared scanner to perform heat surveys of transmission/distribution/network systems and substations; locate and report equipment/ components over-heating such as transformers, switches and capacitor banks; recheck completed maintenance repairs.

Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering Technology.  Must successfully complete Color Blind 1 Test.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 004 “Electronics Technicians”)/Performance Exercises. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in shop and outside.  Works in proximity of electrical equipment in substations and walk-in/ underground vaults.  Subject to medium lifting, climbing ladders, working with chemicals and standing for extended periods.  May work from bucket truck.
