GAS METER SHOP WORKER
Clean, test and provide assistance in the repair and maintenance of gas meters and regulators.
Drug screening, with negative test results, is required prior to entry into this classification. Must
successfully complete Placement (Group 010 “Instrument Mechanics II”)/ Performance
Exercises. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
Works in shop and outside. Subject to hazards of standing for extended periods, heavy lifting,
working in uncomfortable positions, working around operating equipment, pressurized air lines,
climbing ladders, heat, dust, fumes and noise.
