INTERN STUDENT
Memphis Light, Gas, and Water is currently seeking Intern Students to perform nontechnical duties providing the opportunity for training in various departments throughout
the Division. Students will alternate between work and school for a minimum of one to a
maximum of six semesters to gain hands-on experience while working on challenging
projects, networking with professionals, and learning from some of the most
knowledgeable people in the utility industry. Delegated duties/responsibilities will vary
by assignment.
Must be a full-time student enrolled in a college or university. College majors are
considered based on specific needs of the department such as Finance, Human
Resources, Business Administration, Purchasing, Communications, Education, or
another relevant field. Must maintain a required academic standard of 2.5 out of 4.0
grade point average. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full time and without
restriction during Internship. Must have a valid driver’s license or identification card
from the state of residence.
Work in office under good conditions.
