Richardson Oilseed seeks a Shipper/Receiver


Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Shipper/Receiver at our Memphis, TN facility. The hourly wage for this position is $19.52 per hour.

Responsibilities:

*Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules.
*Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
*Always using the required personal protective equipment
*Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
*Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
*Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
*Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
*Complete paperwork as required, receive shipments, lot tracking, controls around auditing, scheduling/coordinating trucking off-shift and supervisor fill-in
*Unload, count, perform data entry and stocking of inbound material and/or pick, audit and ship outbound orders.  Enter data into inventory system using RAMP-PROPS
*Verifies accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities against documents
*Prepares items for delivery including acquiring signatures and maintaining Receiving documents
*Sign for receipt of product from delivery drivers. Assist in unloading of trucks if required
*Sort product and ensure accuracy of product received
*Verify product condition and suitability for receipt. Electronically receive product. Use of automated data collection equipment and computers is required
*Place product into assigned locations
*Bin consolidation, warehouse transfers and restocking from overstock to pick locations
*Using picklists or paperless picking tools, select items from stock to ship. Document items selected and record picker number on picklist
*Using Picklists or barcode readers, audit picked shipments to verify correct part number, serial/lot number and quantity. Document errors detected on the provided log. Also alert a lead or supervisor if product condition is in question or there is any issue with the accuracy of an order
*Regular preventative maintenance as assigned
*Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
Understand instruction and follow direction
Work primarily in a warm to hot environment
High School Diploma or GED required
