The Library offers numerous programs for children. We look forward to having you in the Library, but for now we can meet virtually and share fun stories and activities. View our Calendar of Events for more information on joining.


virtual summer camps

Registration April 15 – June 1

Applications for all camps will open on April 15th and close on June 1st. We will have STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) camps for ages 9-18. All camps are FREE!


star wars day

Tue – May 4

Join us on May the 4th as we celebrate Star Wars Day 2021 with books, crafts, recipes, escape rooms, and more!


Mother’s Day Sugar Scrub!!!

Let’s celebrate all of the wonderful mother’s we know and love and make them a yummy smelling sugar scrub!!!


virtual community art academy

Weekly Classes Apr 7 – May 12

If your kids love art, the Virtual Community Art Academy is the perfect opportunity for them! Kids 3rd-6th grade will learn to create original works of art, with the help of University of Memphis Art Education majors.

Various Days & Times

Do you like to knit, crochet, and/or sew? Join us for our NEW library Stitch It club. Share projects, give advice, support new knitters, crocheters and sewers, learn new techniques, maybe talk about books, and have fun! Come for as long or as short as you can. All levels are welcome. Non-stitchers are welcome to drop in to see how fun and relaxing it can be.

Also, we have various knitting, crocheting, and sewing classes for all ages!


mpl tutoring service

Daily – Schedule Appointment

Tutoring is provided for grades K through 5. Our tutoring services are offered in 30 minute sessions Monday through Friday from 3:30PM to 5:30PM.



long live the king chess club

Weekly Meetings

MPL’s Long Live the King Chess Club has partnered with the Friday Knight Chess Club (FKCC) to present free online chess games and activities for the community. All club games are offered through Chess.com.
