The Library offers numerous programs for teens. We look forward to having you in the Library, but for now we can meet virtually and share fun stories and activities.

virtual summer camps

Applications for all camps will open on April 15th and close on June 1st. We will have STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) camps for ages 9-18. All camps are FREE!

Virtual Gardening at Home (Eddie Pickett Project)

Come and learn how to start your own garden at South branch.  Garden kits with tools, seeds, and pots are provided to registered participants. Classes are Sat. April 24- May 15.

Freeman Outreach Center: Young Adult Anger Management Workshop

Freeman Outreach Center presents this young adult anger management program to help our youth learn how to cope with anger in constructive ways as opposed to responding in violence or other disruptive behavior. Please join us each Wednesday and Thursday during the month of May from 4-5:00 p.m. to learn more about healthy ways to respond to peers and family when angered. Learn why responding in violence or other disruptive behaviors can have the oppose effect or outcomes. These classes consists of 8 sessions and will be held virtually via Teams for ages 12-17.

If you love reading and writing, come join us. We have numerous opportunities to practice new skills, discuss, and share.

stitch it club
& classes

Various Days & Times

Do you like to knit, crochet, and/or sew? Join us for our NEW library Stitch It club. Share projects, give advice, support new knitters, crocheters and sewers, learn new techniques, maybe talk about books, and have fun! Come for as long or as short as you can. All levels are welcome. Non-stitchers are welcome to drop in to see how fun and relaxing it can be.

Also, we have various knitting, crocheting, and sewing classes for all ages!

long live the king chess club
weekly meetings

MPL’s Long Live the King Chess Club has partnered with the Friday Knight Chess Club (FKCC) to present free online chess games and activities for the community. All club games are offered through
