Director of Development – Junior Achievement of Memphis & the Mid-South


Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy and drive long-term sustainability efforts across a 71-county region.

This full-time, on-site leadership role reports directly to the President & CEO and plays a key part in advancing donor engagement, corporate partnerships, grants, and major fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading individual and major donor giving strategies
  • Overseeing legacy giving efforts, including the 1955 Society
  • Managing development systems (Salesforce, Instrumentl, etc.)
  • Driving grants strategy and administration
  • Planning and executing donor-focused events
  • Supporting board engagement and community partnerships

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or philanthropy
  • Proven success with major gifts, donor stewardship, and campaigns
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and grants management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
