Apply online to receive a Library Card Number that you can use immediately to access our eCollection and public computers. This card number is good for 2 years. (Customers age 13 and up are invited to apply online.)

Download eBooks, including Kindle books, and eAudio books from OverDrive. Checkout up to 10 titles at one time and keep them for up to 21 days. Titles will return automatically.

- Install the app
- Connect to Memphis Public Libraries
- Add Library Card Number and PIN
- Search for books in the “Library”
- Read checked out books in the “Shelf”

We will discontinue Freegal on September 30th. All music that you have downloaded onto your desktop will still be available. Any music downloaded with the app will need to be transferred to a desktop if you want to keep it. Instructions for transferring can be found on Freegal’s FAQ HERE.
