What is my PIN?
If you do not know your PIN, please visit our PIN Information page for tips that you can try as well as an automated PIN reset. If that doesn’t work, we’d be happy to look it up if you submit your Library Card number above.
I don’t live in Memphis. Can I get a library card to access your online services?
Those who live outside the Memphis Public Library service area, including nearby counties in TN, AR and MS, may pay an annual fee of $50 to obtain a Memphis Public Library library card. Out of Service Area cards must be obtained in person.+
Can you update my Library Card?
If your account is in need of updating, please bring proof of ID and address to any Memphis Public Libraries location. We are no longer renewing accounts without proof of ID and address.
I returned a book but it’s still showing on my account. What do I do?
If you returned it to a book drop, please give it a day for it to be removed from your account. Otherwise, you will need to speak to the checkout desk staff at preferably the library you checked it out from or returned it to. For Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, you can call (901) 415-2702.
