About JobLinc
JobLINC, a service within the Memphis Public Libraries, has served the Memphis community since 1990. By serving as a model for targeted employment outreach. JobLINC helps job seekers locate employment opportunities. It also helps employers find workers.

Job and Career Blog
JobLINC partners with companies in the community to post available jobs on our Job and Career Blog. We also work with employers to connect them with job seekers. To post open positions onto our jobs blog, please fill out the Employer Contact Form. You can also email us at joblinc@memphistn.gov with a flyer, job posting or jobs fair information.
Career Counseling
JobLINC Specialists can provide career counseling via email, phone calls, and virtual meetings. Assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please fill out the Customer/Job Seeker Contact Form and email your resume to joblinc@memphistn.gov. If you have questions please email joblinc@memphistn.gov or call the department phone and leave a message at 901-415-2787. Please expect a 48-hour turnaround on all emails or calls during business hours. Days & times are subject to change.

JobLINC Mobile Career Center
Memphis Public Libraries is the home of the JobLINC Mobile Career Center. The JobLINC vehicle is a 38 foot, ADA Compliant vehicle that travels throughout the Memphis area. By traveling throughout the area, the JobLINC vehicle serves to connect citizens with available resources and employment opportunities. It is a mobile classroom equipped with 10 laptops with internet access, digital resources, employees specialized in job and career readiness, and space to host workshops and recruiters. Additionally, the JobLINC Team facilitates in-person and virtual workshops and hosts one of the largest career fairs in the area.
Grow with google
Grow with Google is partnering with the Memphis Public Libraries and various organizations across the nation to provide free training, tools, and events to help you grow your skills, career, or business. There are also a new collection of resources called the Remote Work Hub to help people communicate, learn, teach, and work from home.
Opportunity R3
Opportunity R3: Rethinking, Rebuilding, and Rebranding your Opportunity
Expectations of Opportunity R3 . Participants will be offered support to develop a personalized career or education plan with the help of a professional coach to explore their interests, choose a direction, and gain experience. The program will make it easier for the participants to discover their individual interests, skills, and desires for the type of life they would like to build.
Opportunity Youth R3
Do you want a better job, and all you need is the right opportunity? If you are 16-24 you may be eligible for our Opportunity Youth program.
Opportunity Youth offers a guided path to further your education or to prepare for workforce readiness.
Opportunity Youth is removing barriers and connecting the gap between preparation and opportunity for young people to realize their full potential to transform lives and the stability of communities.

Technical Learning Content, Practice, and Certifications
Microsoft is offering courses and resources through the Microsoft Digital Literacy site. Take Digital Literacy courses and find programs & resources to help increase your digital literacy.
Microsoft Skills Initiative
The Public Library Association and Microsoft Corporation are working together to help libraries identify existing and new tools for helping community members gain skills for jobs that are well positioned to grow in the future.

Digital Learn
Whether you are new to computers or just a little rusty find the tools to become more comfortable interacting with this essential technology. Curated by PLA (Public Library Association) this program is an online hub for digital literacy support and training. Check it out here

Gale OneFile: Vocations and Careers aids users in researching a vocation, finding an appropriate institution of learning, job searching, and maintaining a career. Vocations and Careers offers hundreds of current and applicable periodicals ranging from general career guides to highly specialized industry journals.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: GALE ONEFILE
Gale OneFile: Leadership and Management provides access to authoritative periodical content covering such topics as 21st-century skills, organizational dynamics and leadership, adult learning and continuing education, and more. Updated daily, this library resource is useful for researchers or any professional interested in career development.

DataAxle is a comprehensive collection of databases and tools to help you start and run a business, connect to consumers, research companies, find a job and more. Databases include:

LINC 2-1-1 Database
The LINC 2-1-1 Database links to job assistance agencies to assist you in your employment searches. Use keywords like: job, employment, workforce in your search.
Technology at the Library
MPL offers hotspot checkout so that you can access the internet at home. Customers age 18 and up are welcome to visit our catalog and place a hold on a hotspot. Hotspots can be checked out for 14 days and must be returned to the checkout desk of the library where it was checked out.
