The Metal Museum is seeking a full-time Librarian and Registrar to support the care, organization, and accessibility of its library, archives, and art collections. This role blends library science, archival work, and museum collections management at a nationally recognized cultural institution
Position Details

Status: Full-time, exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: Starting at $45,000/year (based on experience)

Benefits: Health insurance + 3% Simple IRA employer match after 2 years.
Key Responsibilities

Catalog and manage library and archival materials

Maintain and update the museum collections database

Assist with exhibitions, loans, and object handling

Support researchers, staff, and public inquiries

Document exhibitions and assist with digital content
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in Library Science, Archival Studies, Museum Studies, or a related field

Museum, archival, or collections experience (internships accepted)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
