About the Role
The Training and Curriculum Specialist plays a key role in designing and delivering engaging professional development for educators while contributing to the continued development of Ditto Literacy® curriculum and resources. This position blends facilitation, curriculum design, collaboration, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-impact professional development for diverse adult learners

Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual trainings that connect literacy research to classroom practice

Integrate structured literacy theory with practical application through modeling and guided practice

Collaborate on curriculum development to refine and expand Ditto Literacy® materials
-
Support educators before, during, and after training to ensure effective implementation
-
Partner with literacy coaches and schools to strengthen foundational literacy instruction

Contribute to organizational initiatives and represent ALLMemphis at community and professional events

Required Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in education or a related field
-
Active Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher Knowledge Certificate (C-SLCT) from CERI (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

Strong background in structured literacy, curriculum design, and adult learning

Experience delivering professional development or coaching educators
-
Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills

Commitment to educational equity and ALLMemphis’ mission

Experience with Orton-Gillingham or other multisensory literacy approaches preferred
