Welcome to the Nonprofit Resource Center – a special collection of resources located in the Business/Sciences Department on the 3rd floor of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. The Nonprofit Resource Center maintains a core collection of print materials as well as onsite access to Foundation Directory Online (Professional). This Foundation Center database compiles essential facts on grantmakers and their funding activities worldwide. To pinpoint prospective funders, explore four comprehensive databases: Grantmakers, Companies, Grants, and 990s. With geographic search tools, you can zoom in on regional and local grantmakers and view grants by state, county, city, metro area, congressional district and ZIP code. To begin using Foundation Directory Online (Professional), visit Central Library and speak to a librarian in the Business/Sciences Department.
Whether you are just starting to research a nonprofit venture or would like to strengthen an existing one, we have a wealth of information available to you. We invite you to begin your research now by exploring the online resources listed at the bottom of this page.
Foundation Center librarians are also available to answer any nonprofit related questions. To take advantage of their live chat, Online Librarian Service, click here.
