Children and Tweens will have the ability to utilize the incredible Maker Space we have at Orange Mound. STEM equipment includes a 3D printer, Bee-Bots, Makey Makey’s, Sphero Indi’s, Snap Circuits, and Sphero Bolt+’s.

Afternoons in June and July
Come join us for a special visit from the Dixon Gallery & Gardens’ Art to Grow! Participants will create their own garden diorama featuring native plants.

The Memphis Room and DIG Memphis are pleased to announce a new in-person program series, Memphis on Film, showcasing over a century of our hometown as captured by the camera lens.

Cossitt Library will host the third annual Sankofa African Diaspora Festival. In recognition of Black Music Month, this festival will celebrate the rich culture, lived experiences, and creative expressions of African-descended communities.

For June, we are reading The Sisters Brothers, the 2011 darkly comic Western written by Canadian author Patrick deWitt. Shortlisted for the prestigious Booker Prize and the recipient of numerous Canadian literary honors, the picaresque novel follows the trail of gunslinging hitman brothers, Charlie and Eli Sisters, as they track down a gold prospector who has allegedly stolen from their boss, a notorious frontier baron known as the Commodore.
